About Me
I grew up in a small town in Georgia, on a lake surrounded by pine trees and wild animals. It was here where I developed an appreciation for nature and where I learned how to entertain myself, by drawing. I spent most of youth opting for art classes and musical theater over sports. When it was time to go to college, I broke up with art. I went to school at Wake Forest University and graduated with a biology degree, which I don't use at all. Go Deacs!
I came to San Francisco to get my masters in marine biology. I was working on researching new species of deep sea coral at the California Academy of Sciences, when I realized: what am I doing? I am not this person. Call it a quarter life crisis, (or perhaps it was my close call with death while SCUBA-diving in Monterey) but I quit graduate school after one semester to pursue art and design.
Now, I am a graphic design student at UC Berkeley Extension living and working in San Francisco, California. I love my new medium. Technology has opened doors to my creativity that I didn't even know that I had access to. In my gallery, you'll see designs that I made for class, commissioned work, and paintings that I made for my sanity.
